Projects & Initiatives

Where responsibility becomes visible

Sustainability happens in everyday life. At our locations, in the fields, in our cooperation – and in concrete projects that show real impact.

SBTi

Our binding path to science-based climate targets

We have committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are thus working according to a globally recognized standard for the effective reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. By developing science-based climate targets, we ensure that our measures are in line with the 1.5-degree pathway and achieve real impact in the long term. In doing so, we are taking a clear, verifiable, and ambitious step toward climate-neutral corporate development.

Sedex

Responsibility along the entire supply chain

Our membership with Sedex underscores our commitment to responsible, socially fair, and transparent supply chains. Through the platform, we share and verify relevant data on working conditions, environmental protection, and business ethics. This builds trust, strengthens cooperation with our suppliers, and ensures that our standards are upheld throughout the entire value chain.

Focus on transparency and responsibility

As a member of EcoVadis, we have our sustainability performance audited annually according to international criteria. The assessment covers the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The result provides us with valuable orientation, strengthens transparency toward our partners, and demonstrates that we are developing sustainability in a measurable and continuous way.

Our commitment to Acker e. V.

Where enthusiasm grows and the future begins

By supporting Acker e. V., we promote not only sustainable nutrition but, above all, children's enthusiasm for nature and food. On the school fields, they experience how real vegetables grow from a small seed – with their own hands, in a team, and with great curiosity. Through multi-year participation in the "GemüseAckerdemie" (Vegetable Academy), they learn responsibility, appreciation, and mindfulness – for the soil, for food, and for each other. This experience strengthens their awareness of healthy nutrition and shows them that they can help shape the future themselves. Here, knowledge, joy, and a new generation of little nature explorers grow.

Together for our regions

"OdenwaldBLICK" Discovery Trail

Together with the city of Breuberg and local partners, we created a place around the Burgberg in autumn 2025 that combines nature, movement, and community. At various play stations and discovery areas, visitors of all ages can learn more about the topics of "Regionality & Tradition," "Fruit Science," and "Nature Conservation, Biodiversity, and Species Diversity."

Nature Conservation Project Breuberg

1,000 m² of Diversity

In cooperation with the German non-governmental organization "Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz" (BUND), we launched our first nature conservation project at our Breuberg site at the end of 2023.

On a 1,000 m² meadow above the production facility, we promote the diversity of wild herbs and plants.

The area offers ideal conditions for a variety of native animal and plant species.

Our Brands, Our Responsibility

Our brands stand for much more than quality and enjoyment – they embody responsibility, tradition, and a deep connection to nature and the regions from which their raw materials originate. Each individual brand, with its character, origin, and commitment to sustainability, contributes to our ability to offer our customers products that not only taste excellent and meet the highest quality standards but are also manufactured with an awareness of sustainability criteria. Whether fruity classics or regional originals: behind all our brands are people, passion, and the clear determination to protect resources, shorten transport routes, and strengthen local value creation.

Regional Milk, Short Routes

Elsterwerda Location

Our milk comes 100% from contract farmers in the immediate region – a maximum travel distance of 50 km. This means transparency, animal welfare, and traceable origin.
Furthermore, the close cooperation with our farmers is a matter close to our hearts. Our milk is traceable back to the farm.
